Everything changes!

Welcome to the new and improved blog site of Leah Nicole Hoffmaster! If you have been previously enjoying my posts from bottleinthesmoke.blogspot, I assure you that the name change is an indication of what is to come. I had been in Psalm 119:83 during a very trying time and had found comfort in knowing that I could still hold on to God's promises though I had "become like a bottle in the smoke", or, as history would tell, had been left to harden, shrivel, and become covered in the soot of the fire. I was content to believe that though this was where I was, God would not leave me nor forsake me.

However.. Since that time nearly 3 months ago I have been blessed with a revelation of WHO HE IS that created me, and things just haven't been the same! Isn't that like God to just change the way we look at EVERYTHING in seconds flat and make us see exactly where we went wrong?! I am so thankful for his gentle rebuke. I now see how our wallowing grief and anguish were done away with the day that Jesus died on Calvary. That everything we need to live a joyful, abundant life is available to us right now because of who HE is and who we are in HIM! Let me share with you some names for our God from scripture and what they mean for us today:

El Shaddai (Lord God Almighty)
El Elyon (The Most High God)
Adonai (Lord, Master)
Yahweh (Lord, Jehovah)
Jehovah Nissi (The Lord My Banner)
Jehovah-Raah (The Lord My Shepherd)
Jehovah Rapha (The Lord That Heals)
Jehovah Shammah (The Lord Is There)
Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord Our Righteousness)
Jehovah Mekoddishkem (The Lord Who Sanctifies You)
El Olam (The Everlasting God)
Elohim (God)
Qanna (Jealous)
Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide)
Jehovah Shalom (The Lord Is Peace)
Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of Hosts)

It makes me tremble when I begin to think of the many facets of our Amazing creator. If you can believe He is who he says He is, it will change your life. I promise! And it won't stop there. You'll go on to change the lives of others, and it goes on and on. A word of caution though: you may want to make sure your floors are clean, as your face could quite possibly become planted directly into it as you are overwhelmed with his glory! I pray that no matter where you are in your walk with Him that you will let his greatness melt and reshape your heart today. You will be so glad that you did!
