A "Shout Out" To A Few Great Sites And A Weekend Giveaway Too!

MLK March 2

Today I am not posting Ch. 2 of the "Help Meet" study.  Maybe after the weekend..haha..I'm behind already!!  Instead, I wanted to give you a chance to check out a couple of great companies whom I have had most excellent dealings with, along with a few sweet blogs that are written by even sweeter, christian women. I am not getting paid anything for offering my opinions and recommendations, just wanted to share some love, as it has been shared with me!

Update: I have recently become an affiliate with Soft Star Shoes.  Any purchases made through my links will result in a small commission for me, and I thank you!

To entice you even further to check the following sites out, I have decided to offer a small giveaway: a free music album (via iTunes- choices TBA), with the winner to be chosen Sunday, August 15.  Each company you check out gives you one entry.  Each blog you visit counts as 2.  Just leave me a comment telling me which sites you checked out, and you'll be entered to win!  (Note: If you've already visited these blogs before, leave them a comment to share some love, and I'll still consider your entry eligible :)

Here they are:

This is a christian family run cloth diapering company from Vermont.  They sell the "best" 100% cotton prefolds at very reasonable prices, plus have a great selection of other products, including natural wipe solutions, all-in-ones, diaper covers, and more.  I have made several orders from this company and to my remembrance they have always shipped the next day.  Not only that, but they will send you a free bible, devotional, and up to 3 free christian dvd's with your purchase if you choose.  I have never seen another company do that!  May I also say, that this company has generously reached out to me personally during a difficult time for our family.  I can't say enough good things about Green Mountain Diapers!

This Oregon-based shoe company sells your choice of handmade, "soft soled" or very thin (still flexible) soled shoes from infant all the way up to adult sizes!  They use sustainable, natural materials such as suede or smooth leather and offer wool footbeds which regulate temperature.  They also have vegan options as well.    These are top quality shoes and  give your children the protection they need while allowing their feet to develop naturally.  My kids love them and I am hoping to secure myself a pair soon!  You can even customize with your own favorite colors and designs!  Once a year they have a clearance sale where you can buy these wonderful shoes at up to 70% off.  Sign up for their mailing list so you don't miss out!  This company has been extremely good to do business with, even making me a custom pair of shoes for clearance prices simply due to a website error.  GREAT people, and GREAT shoes!

This etsy shop specializes in handmade weighted blankets for children with sensory issues.  Ideal for those with autism, ADHD, and even restless leg syndrome; these blankets provide a grounded feeling which is so important in helping to promote healthy, restful sleep or even to help provide relaxation during the day.  Amy is a work from home, homeschooling mom and mother of an autistic child who uses her talent as a ministry to serve others in need of these hard to find items.  From what I have seen, she does most excellent work, using quality materials and offering truly reasonable prices.  Plus, she is a joy to do business with!  You wouldn't be disappointed in any of Amy's products, I am sure of this!

The following links are all blogs that I follow regularly, written by women who have gone out of their way to offer me prayer, compassion, and support.  Not only that, but they also are all excellent writers who successfully offer encouragement and share meaningful, heartfelt content.  They would be a blessing (and inspiration) to anyone's day.  I'm sure they'd love for you to check them out and say hello!

Congratulations to Barbie of My Freshly Brewed Life, who is the winner of the weekend "shout-out" contest.  How cool to bless a fellow blogger who has been such a blessing to me!  Hope you all had fun checking out some great sites.
